Inspired by a zine I made in 2018 that explored the idea of growing up and finding self-agency, Hermione is about the tension between wanting to know your fate and letting chance decide. Though the tarot cards in front of Hermione are face-up, which means she's free to choose her fate instead of having to pick blind from a stack, she nonetheless has her eyes closed and her hand unsure. Do you make the choice, and then live with the consequences? Or pick blindly and blame the bad on fate?
